Environment Control South Sound (EC) is looking for hard-working, honest, and dependable Janitors to join our team. EC is a full-service commercial cleaning company with flexible hours, schedules, work locations, and fast opportunities for advancement. Work is primarily nights and weekends, perfect for students, parents, full-time workers, and night owls.

Position Description and Duties:

Our Fill-In Cleaning team members work within their assigned territory, covering open accounts, helping start up new accounts, and assisting in the training process within their assigned territory. Fill-In cleaners are in a prime position to work together with our management team and can be on a fast track to advancement into management if desired. This flexible cleaner doesn't have a set route to clean and instead will be assigned accounts via their manager on a weekly and/or daily basis depending upon company needs. Most work will be done in the evening starting after 5 pm, but some day time coverage may be available to those interested. Choose your days off and work the hours you need!

Reliable vehicle, valid license, and insurance are required.

Applicants must understand the fundamentals of cleaning, emptying trash, sanitizing kitchens/break rooms, dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, sweeping, and mopping. Duties will vary according to assignment, and flex assignments can vary day to day.

Wage: Starting pay is $20.00 per hour + $0.25 per mile

Responsibilities:

• Clean and restock designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, etc.)
• Attend to all locations on the daily assigned route in a timely manner
• Perform and document routine cleaning
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as needed
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs promptly
• Stock and maintain supply rooms with provided materials
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Observe all confidentiality guidelines
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Desire to work Part-time into Full-time
• Available to work nights and/or weekends, daytime availability is a plus!
• Ability to read and/or write in the English Language
• Reliable personal transportation and a valid Driver’s License with insurance
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance
• Must be able to lift 30lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally
• Must be able to stay on feet/walk for the whole shift.
• Understand the fundamentals of cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and mopping. Training will be provided.
• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
