FIELD MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE - VOLUNTEER Job at Town of Winchester
The Select Board is seeking one (1) member (no incumbent) for the Field Management Committee. The term will expire July 1, 2025
The purpose of the Committee shall be to review and oversee the use, maintenance of and improvements to the community play fields and recreational green space in the Town. The Committee shall make quarterly reports to the Select Board. Responsibilities shall include preparation of data for the annual budget review of operations and timely submission of capital requests associated with play fields and recreational green space. In addition, the Committee shall review the scheduling of all events and field use and make recommendations to the Recreation and School Departments as to the use of the fields. Said Committee shall take into consideration the review and implementation of all of the Fields Committee’s recommendations as listed in their Spring 1993 Town Meeting Report. The Committee shall also consider developing proposals for alternative funding for fields, especially maintenance; working with user groups as to the impact to their activities on abutting neighborhoods to the fields, and any other items deemed appropriate by the Committee.
