Description:
Requirements:
- Supervision and Safety of passengers, deckhands, mechanics and maintenance personnel on board vessel.
- Report vessel malfunctions, and any unsafe conditions to port captains immediately.
- Arrive for duty fifteen minutes before shift for briefing by off-going officer.
- Responsible for overseeing deckhands, making sure they are in proper uniform and performing duties properly.
- Ensure the vessel is clean and fill out clean-up check off list.
- Fill out ships log; keep an ongoing log of trips, vehicles, and any events.
- Be familiar with both company and departments policies and procedures, rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of all safety systems and procedures.
- Must pay attention to radio VHF ch 16, 13 and company radio ch 2.
- Able to work any shift, including flexible schedules, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Comply with all Fisher Island standards (i.e., grooming, conduct, policies and procedures).
Requirements:
qMust possess a valid driver’s license- Mechanical ability and 100 ton USCG and MRO licenses
- Good communication skills
- Neat appearance
- Ability to swim (a must)
- q Speak, read and write English
