Feedlot Cowboy Job at Phillips Cattle Company
We are looking for a full-time employee to start as soon as possible. Cattle experience is not a requirement but not being afraid of the cattle is. We are willing to teach the right candidate all they need to know for the job. We are a small crew and are looking for someone who fits in well and can work by themselves or with any one of the other employees.
Job tasks that will be part of your responsibility (but not limited to):
1.Walking pens every day and pulling and treating sick cattle (main job).
2. Processing new cattle and existing cattle on schedule. Processing can include new tags, vaccines, implants, etc.
3. Driving the skid steer for various tasks (not the main job).
4. Learning to drive the feed truck and complete chores. You will be a backup in case our current driver is unable to feed. (if able too)
We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, has a great work ethic, not afraid to get dirty (manure happens), can be on their feet on the concrete all day, isn't afraid to try new tasks, punctual, has integrity in a job well done, self-motivated, is easy to get along with, and wants to enjoy working with their coworkers. We will teach the right person every task required for this job if they have the qualities we are looking for in an employee. We pride ourselves on taking care of our employees because they also take care of us.
