Children’s Services of Roxbury’s Family Visitation Program provides safe, neutral, and professional locations for visits for low-income families in the Greater Boston area. The supervised or un-supervised visits between the children and their custodial or non-custodial parents are conducted based on the parameters designated by the court order. Trained staff supervise each visit and remain neutral at all times while facilitating the visitation. The visitation program provides a fresh start for children and their custodial or non-custodial parents. They spend quality time together time in a safe, comfortable and private room. CSR encourages consistent visits that help to create a positive relationship between the children and their caregivers.

Position Summary
:
The Family Visitation Program Manager is responsible for all supervisory, therapeutic, and administrative aspects of the Family Visitation Program. The Program Manager must ensure compliance with agency and DPH policies and protocols. This position has a work schedule of Sunday through Thursday (Sunday-Wednesday 9am-5pm, and Thursday 12pm-8pm, (Thursday and Sunday are required) or as discussed with the Program Director).

Summary of Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the work of Case Aides and Security Guard; including the supervision of visits and interactions with clients and collaterals as needed
  • Provide supervision to staff on a regular, ongoing basis to ensure that staff carry out their responsibilities in an effective and timely manner
  • Maintain a working relationship with DPH, collaterals, and referral sources
  • Manage all aspects of the Visitation Program (staff, participants, programming)
  • Act as Keeper of the Records
  • Provide trainings to enhance workers' knowledge, skill, and expertise
  • Scheduling and executing client intake, visitation appointments, and child orientations for Visitation Participants (virtual and in person)
  • Developing and maintaining audit-ready case records files for all Visitation Participants (computerized and hard copy)
  • Maintain the schedule for all virtual and in-person visits
  • Mastery of ETO (Efforts to Outcomes); CSR internal system for data collection, tracking, and reporting
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word
  • Reporting monthly and quarterly to the Department of Public Health under contractual obligations and requirement
  • Archiving of files
  • Community outreach to the courts and community agencies
  • Understand and know the rules, policies, and regulations of the Visitation Program
  • Check in with Family Visitation Participants weekly regarding any extra support and/or resources they may need and providing the resources
  • Maintain strict confidentiality for each case
  • Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings
  • Weekly supervision with Program Director
  • Work as a team player and assist in supervising cases when staff are absent
  • Always treat all parties with dignity and respect and remain neutral
  • Written documentation of calls/contacts by telephone and in person (daily/weekly), case notes
  • Obtain and maintain Social Work/Mental Health license

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years work experience in a human service agency
  • Willingness to be creative and versatile when necessary
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have reliable, working car
  • Clearance of background checks as required by state and federal law
  • Experience in Domestic Violence and family work a plus
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Experience in working with diverse populations and being culturally sensitive
