Job description

An exciting opportunity to work with Intensive Family Services (IFS), a preservation and reunification program for families involved with York County Children and Youth. Therapists are responsible for the day to day therapeutic needs of all assigned families; for record maintenance; for reporting to the Program Director as well as funding sources; for a ‘system based’ treatment plan uniquely developed for each family in the development of multidisciplinary treatment approach. Compensation of $26.00/hr is based on the number of billable hours. Administrative duties are reimbursed at a lower rate. Hours of work are flexible, requiring some evening hours.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. DIRECT SERVICE AND CASE MANAGEMENT Provide guidance and support to other team members related to treatment plan implementation. Conduct evaluation of family’s performance using program guidelines. Assess all referrals from Children and Youth Services and consult with Program Director as needed. Attend court hearings as needed.

2. CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION AND ADMINISTRATIVE PAPERWORK Coordinate team member schedules, responsible for quality, accuracy and overall professional recording on a timely basis, of all reports regarding activities and services of assigned team members. Record all necessary statistics and documentation; keep a log of all contacts.

3. TRAINING, SUPERVISION, CONSULTATION: Conduct IFS Program Introduction to referred families.

  • Lifting or moving up to 25 lbs. will be required.
  • Movements such as stooping, crouching, bending, kneeling, and reaching are required.
  • This position requires spending the majority of your workday driving, sitting, standing and walking.
  • The location of the program requires the ability to climb stairs on a frequent basis during your shift.
  • Noise and/or level of distraction in the work environment is moderate.

Working Conditions: The candidate must be able to work flexible hours which include three evenings per week averaging roughly (20-30 hours per week). This position is compensated based on the number of billable hours submitted. The administrative elements including training are reimbursed at a lower rate.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in counseling, psychology, or social work related field along with minimum of five years’ experience working in mental health OR Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or human services related field.

Experience: Experience working with Children.

Certifications or Licenses Required:

State Police and Child Line Clearances FBI Clearance

Valid PA Driver’s License

UPitt Mandated Reporter

Adequate auto insurance according to agency policy
