LSSI is hiring a full-time Family Supportive Services Worker. Provides the full casework services to assure the safety and well-being of children by assisting families to meet minimum parenting standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with other service providers, schools, healthcare facilities, to promote and ensure child well-being and safety during service delivery.
  • Assess family service needs and provide linkage to community resources to remediate problems and prevent abuse or neglect and verify participation.
  • Provide strengths-based case management to facilitate the resolution of low to minor challenges contributing to risk to children.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field or a degree in related human services field.
  • State licensing/certification as required by the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Access to transportation for visits and to transport clients to and from appointments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS.
