Facilities Technician-PP Job at AgReserves, Inc.
Summary:
South Valley Farms is seeking a collaborative and self-motivated Facilities Technician to join our farm operations team!
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure all facilities are operationally sound, safe, and fit in appearance.
- Carry out maintenance tasks including as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Clean and repair buildings to ensure physical condition does not deteriorate.
- Keep lawn sprinklers maintained and operational.
- Spray weeds and upkeep appearance of shop areas and fence lines.
- Preserve farm signage.
- Assist shop mechanics on a variety of projects and help coordinate outside contractors.
- Champion a world-class safety culture by adhering to all safety/emergency shut-down procedures and policies.
- Keep up with all industry and company required training, licenses, and certifications to perform job effectively.
Qualifications:
- Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude with knowledge of construction methods and tools. Previous farm/ag or mechanic experience preferred.
- Valid, in-state driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus.
- Be willing to learn maintenance for all types of equipment.
- Good communication skills with ability to work independently and as an active member of a team. Bilingual Spanish desired.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, able to lift a minimum of 70lbs,, as well as work outside in year-round weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
