We are a dedicated team passionate about providing support for youth who are vulnerable and have experienced significant adversity and trauma in their lives. Our Behavioral rehabilitation services (BRS) program is on the South Hill in Spokane, WA is home to up to 23 boys between the 6-13 years, and we have been supporting youth since 1957! Agricultural programming is included in our program with the opportunity to work with the boys with horses, goats, chickens, gardening and more.

Job Summary:

The facilities manager Understands the technical aspects of the property, support day to day business operations, ensure efficient operation of facilities, mitigate risk, and ensure that facilities meet the needs of clients and staff.

As a Facilities Manager, your job duties will include:

  • Manages relationships with external contractors, vendors, etc in a professional manner, oversees and schedules necessary work and repairs ensuring quality and payment.
  • Ensure the safety, security, and sanitation of all buildings and living areas meet applicable licensing, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Is point of contact for all licensing inspections,
  • Coordinates, tracks, and ensures routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Is project lead for any renovations.
  • Manages waste disposal.
  • Ensures department meets budget expectations while following all required purchasing expectations.
  • Training staff on safety procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and laws.
  • Responsible for all aspects of inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. Repairs are usually completed by outside qualified contractors or technicians; however appropriate minor repairs are completed by staff.
  • Maintains all vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance is completed and all vehicles are in safe operating condition.
  • Managing business needs on off business hours.
  • Ensures and manages system for feeding and care of all livestock.
  • Ensures the safety and healthy well-being of all residents and shall make sure the rules and regulations of the Ranch are observed, along with all State regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through company vehicle insurance
  • Per the Washington State governor’s proclamation, Morning Star Boys’ Ranch is subject to the COVID-19 vaccination mandate. Documentation or exemption is required upon hire.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or journeyman’s card in a related field such as engineering, machine maintenance, construction, trades etc.
  • At least a year Management Experience.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour depending on education and experience

Nonexempt-overtime eligible position
