Position Title: Apprentice Welder/Fabricator

Department: Operations – Metal-Fab

Work Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Welder/Fabricator to become an integral part of our team! This apprentice will train in the use of specialized equipment, MIG, duel shield, and wire-fed welding techniques to create a wide variety of items to support our company’s needs. This person will work closely with co-workers and managers to operate and produce to specifications while using job orders and blueprints while ensuring a safe and clean workspace.

Major Duties:

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products

• Install and repair various equipment and components
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
• Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics
• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
• Willing to do a variety of fabrication tasks including; Wood, Pipe Bending, and Concrete work
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields
• Previous MIG, Duel Shield, Wire Feed welding experience
• Previous Air - ARC welding experience
• Previous brake press experience
• Previous experience with a CNC Plasma Table
• Mechanically Inclined

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Fridays 7:00 am – 2:00 pm.
