JOB SUMMARY:
The Extractor is responsible for the commercial production and execution of extraction and processing of product in accordance with state and local laws and regulations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other assignments, projects, and

duties may be required:

  • Extracts and processes cannabis product by setting up, operating, and tending to the equipment and various instruments according to the SOPs.
  • Accurately weighing and batching raw cannabis trim in order to fit production schedules.
  • Completes the sanitation of production equipment and tools along with regular cleaning of workstations and surrounding areas.
  • Knows MED Guidelines and all safety procedures in relation to the extractions process.
  • Maintains a consistent and efficient product following SOPs.
  • Performs all assigned tasks required to keep a clean and safe extraction facility.
  • Ensures all appropriate information regarding the process is recorded accurately and properly following set guidelines
  • Masters and controls all equipment in a laboratory setting.
  • Acts as a role model and SME (Subject Matter Expert) at the facility.

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • MED badge required. Must be 21 years of age.
  • 1+ year previous extraction experience
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and willing to work weekends
  • Experience with closed-loop extraction equipment a plus
  • Experience with vacuum pumps and ovens a plus.
  • The person in this department frequently works in a loud environment.
  • Must be able to work in an environment containing airborne particles and fumes.
  • Must be able to work in an environment to safely handle flammable liquids and gases.
  • Must have strong mechanical abilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Constantly requires a variety of standing, walking, kneeling, using hands/fingers to feel or handle items and other basic physical movements (reaching or pulling with arms/hands, balancing, crawling, crouching, climbing, etc.)
  • Occasionally moves/lifts items weighing up to 90 lbs.
  • Must have the state or ability to perceive, feel or be conscious of events, objects, or sensory patterns (look for potential hazards, wet floors, gases, heavy tubes, etc.)
  • Must have good vision to detect, identify, judge, inspect, and observe

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
