Executive Director

The Indiana Conference for Women (ICFW) seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic, and collaborative leader to manage its operations and programs. The ICFW organization provides programs that change lives through mutually uplifting experiences that enlighten, transform, and empower. The organization exists to support the professional and personal development of women of all ages, through meaningful programs that inspire, educate, and empower. In so doing, it will be the launchpad that creates generations of bold women leaders.

In 2010, Billie Dragoo and Deborah Collins-Stephens co-founded the Indiana Conference for Women, with the goal of creating a practical, inspirational, and educational resource for Indiana women. Since 2010, the ICFW has become the largest one-day conference for professional and entrepreneurial women in the Midwest. Serving more than 2,000 people each year, the event welcomes attendees from all walks of life to grow together and be inspired by our nationally- and internationally known keynote speakers and breakout leaders. The ICFW organization is expanding its program offerings with a scholarship program and seeks to develop leadership training for women entrepreneurs and executives. An integral part of this operational role is the ability to effectively fundraise. The ideal person will liaison between Board of Directors, Community leaders, and production.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct the organization’s operations and programs.
  • Oversee and report on the organization’s results for the ICFW Board of Directors.
  • Direct fundraising and sponsorship efforts, working with and supporting the ICFW Board of Directors in their efforts to secure sponsors and partners.
  • Provide leadership to and management for the efforts of site staff and vendors to ensure smooth and collaborative operations.
  • Coordinate and lead annual budget reviews, monthly and quarterly reviews, and periodic forecast updates with operational and senior management.
  • Working with the Board of Directors, ensure that services and funding relationships are robust enough to meet or exceed strategic goals and objectives.

The Executive Director reports to the President of the Board of Directors. Salary and benefits are competitive for the scope of the position and within the region.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills required, including but not limited to the non-profit sector
  • Proven ability to fundraise and build relationships with supporters required
  • Proven ability to work independently and take the initiative required
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required
  • Strong financial management skills preferred
  • Experience with event planning and working with vendors and other external agents to accomplish the organization’s goals preferred
  • Demonstrated creativity in problem-solving preferred

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5 or more years of non-profit management experience in an operational environment, or equivalent experience in the private sector required
  • 2-5 or more years management or supervisory experience preferred
  • 5 or more years of fundraising experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
