Position Overview

The Exception Processor is responsible for resolution and processing of various account services related transactions, including but not limited to Demand Deposit Accounts, Savings Accounts and Certificates of Deposits:

• Stop Payment Suspects
• ACH transactions
• Returned Deposit Items
• Collections Items
• Exception Item Maintenance-NSF-Non-Post Items
• In-clearing check verification (ASV) validation of exception items to deter fraud
• Monitor the Overdraft Protection Program
• Cash Vault balancing of client deposits and branch cash ordering
• Verification of Deposits
• Foreign Currency Ordering
• Inactive/Dormant and Escheat Account maintenance
• Check Kitting and Fraud monitoring
• Monitor the Reg. CC (hold process) ensure branches are following the hold policy
• Safe Deposit Maintenance/monitor the rotation and drilling of boxes
• Reg D. Monitoring of accounts
• Month End Reporting
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Role and Responsibilities

• Conducts quality control review on all new and modified accounts, including system codes and documents for personal and business accounts
• Fee Refunds Processing, Check Fraud Prevention (ASV)
• Return Deposit Items, NSF, Stop Payments, Block entry and callback, Loss Potential review, Collections processing, Wells Fargo Cash Vault
• Other duties, as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-3 years of solid retail branch banking experience preferred
• Knowledgeable with both BSA/AML regulations
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Is a self-starter and can work independently to accomplish daily tasks
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team in order to accomplish departmental goals
• Good communication skills; both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective multi-tasking abilities producing solid results
• Effective time management skills (ability to meet deadlines)
• Knowledge of ITI Banking Software programs i.e., Director, Navigator
• Advanced level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of Accounting and/or Bookkeeping procedures
• Knowledge of ITI’s EIM processing a plus
• High School Diploma; College Degree preferred
