Position Summary
: The Supervisor is responsible for managing staff of 4-5 service techs, writing performance evaluations, coordinating time off, training and corrective action. Supervisor may also be responsible for installation and delivery of beverage, product, food service, refrigeration and ice maker equipment. Also responsible for some repair of equipment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Train, coordinate, discipline subordinates.
  • Interact with accounts to ensure good customer service.
  • Communicate with division Manager regarding employees, customers, issues.
  • Install beverage equipment and products, repair beverage equipment as needed.
  • Install, repair and maintain refrigeration and food service equipment to include walk-in boxes, under counter units, reach-ins and ice making equipment.
  • Shop work as needed.
  • Order, ship and receive parts as needed and properly complete paperwork as it pertains to installation and repair equipment.
  • Handle plumbing and electrical hook-ups as necessary.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts.
  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
  • Repairs broken parts.
  • Trains new employees.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • General
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
    • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience
:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; -or- 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills
: English, Spanish helpful


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Class B Hazardous Material endorsement (CDL) and Nor-Cal forklift certification.


Other Skills and Abilities

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanics, beverage, restaurant and refrigeration installation and repair. Tidel and Allied Geary safety repair knowledge.


Other Qualifications

Need to be available for on-call coverage of afterhours and weekend service calls. Coverage is on a rotational basis between Service Technicians.
