Dalco Enterprise, a division of Imperial Dade, leading national distirbutor, has a job open in Rochster, Minnesota. We are searching for a Service Technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills to work on industrial floor cleaning and facilities maintenance equipment. Industry leading training resources are at our fingertips, so prior floor equipment experience is not required. This is a midlevel position, primarily completing in shop repairs, service calls and preventative maintenance at customer sites, and handling shop related administrative tasks. Schedule is daytime hours, Monday through Friday.

The responsibilities of an Equipment Service Technician include:

• Repair customer’s equipment, demo and used equipment.
• Drive compony owned service van to customer sites to pick up/service equipment.
• Communicate with customers regarding quotes for service work and approvals.
• Requisition parts for equipment in repair department.
• Escalate customer trouble to manager for proper handling.
• Set up new and demo equipment.
• Stock new equipment.
• Assist in preventive maintenance contracts.
• Check on status of backordered parts.
• Log equipment in for repair.
• Assist in the pick-up and delivery of equipment.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Displays a courteous and helpful attitude in order to provide a positive experience for our customers.
• Regularly listens to customers in an empathetic manner, ensuring an understanding of questions, concerns and requests and their feeling associated with them.
• Recommend potential departmental changes and improvements.
• Assist all customer support departments in resolution of customer problems and satisfaction of needs.
• Seek input from employees, supervisors and other personnel involved with the job.
• The company may at any time change functions and requirements of the position to meet the needs of the business.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

The qualifications of an Equipment Service Technician include:

• High School education or equivalent
• Clear driving record and valid driver’s license Must demonstrate mechanical and electrical skills
• 1-3 years of work experience in equipment repair or assembly
• Experience in small equipment repair or equivalent; looking for a person with electrical/mechanical ability
• Repair technicians generally provide their own tools, company will provide specialty tools and equipment.
• One year experience using word, excel, computer, internet, outlook
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
• Ability to stand frequently throughout the day
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
