The City of Wahoo is seeking an individual to fill the roll of Equipment Operator II, in our Street Department. This position is responsible for performing various semi-skilled maintenance and repair activities for the city streets and storm sewers. An incumbent will be required to perform duties on an on-call basis, as needed.
A qualified applicant must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must possess a valid Nebraska commercial driver's license, or have the ability to obtain a CDL within a time frame established by the employer. Must be able to report to the work site within a 15-minute response time in normal weather conditions. Upon offer of employment, the candidate may be asked to obtain a Nebraska Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator certification (Commercial Rating) within a time frame established by the employer.
Pay scale for this position begins at a rate of $18.54 per hour and tops at $24.10 per hour over nine steps.
