Epic Principal Trainer Job at Saint Francis Healthcare
JOB SUMMARY
The Epic Principal Trainer is responsible for the instructional design of the Epic training curriculum for his/her assigned application(s). In addition, the Principal Trainer builds, tests, and maintains the Epic training environment; assists in developing and maintaining training policies & procedures; and provides classroom, skills labs, and one-on-one core orientation to staff for the assigned application(s). The Principal Trainer supports ongoing initiatives and may serve as an education resource on committees and ad hoc work groups.
The Epic Principal Trainer is expected to attend Epic training and achieve certification for his/her assigned Epic application(s). In the event additional credentialed trainers are necessary to meet internal training demands, the Epic Principal Trainer may be responsible for the credentialing training program as well as oversight of these additional training resources.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelors degree in Nursing, Education, Business or equivalent work experience in the area the application supports.
Certification & Licensures:
N/A
Experience:
- Three (3) years of training, adult education and/or instructional design experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively present training materials, provide instruction, guide end users and evaluate feedback are essential.
- Experience in healthcare operational workflows specific to application areas preferred.
- Demonstrates knowledge in adult learning and curriculum development.
- Some level of knowledge in the use of computers to support daily healthcare business operations.
