Job Description
General Description:
Provide a diverse student population with tutoring and instruction as part of the developmental English course

Duties and Tasks:
Prepare student for their first “college-level” English course by teaching and tutoring students in English

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.



KSA's/Required Qualifications
Required KSAs:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a specific academic area
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of students
  • Knowledge of various learning preferences


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Have taken college math courses with a grade of an B+ or higher

  • Previous tutoring experience in higher education.
