General Purpose of the Engineering Manager Position :
Engineering responsibilities for Tennessee (MTI) and Virginia (RCI) facilities. Responsible for Engineering, Energy Management, and Project Management for Mundet USA facilities. Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process. Capital project management experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager:
· General Expectations
· Responsible for Energy Management and Project Management for Mundet USA facilities.
· Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities.
· Perform analyses of operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, and safety processes, and recommend and implement improvements. Specifically for equipment.
· Specific Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager
· Determine performance and energy savings for system modifications and improvements.
· Revise engineering design drawings, specifications and reports to validate energy savings.
· Determine energy savings compared to baseline equipment and building codes performing different engineering calculations for high efficiency equipment and machinery.
· Search and present energy conservation projects comprising capital and operational measures.
· Establish and perform energy use benchmarks
· Assist in developing plant layout in planning rearrangement of facilities, equipment and operations for better utilization of space.
· Work closely with maintenance / manufacturing personnel to prevent problems with products and equipment. The ability to manage maintenance departments or personnel.
· Stay informed concerning new manufacturing technologies and equipment in order to manufacture and reduce cost through efficiencies.
· Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrences of issues in the manufacturing process.
· Able to assist in reducing cost through re-engineering product/material.
· Assist in the assessment of vendor/subcontractor evaluation for consideration.
· All other duties, as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required of Engineering Manager:
· Leadership Skills
· Experience in industrial manufacturing
· Experience in Electrical/Energy Management. (measurement, data collection and analysis)
· Experience in Industrial Manufacturing Environmental Health and Safety regulations
· Project Management (from concept to start up)
· PLC controls
· Electrical, controls, ladder logic
· Pneumatic controls and logic
· Proven track record of reducing costs through processes and efficiencies
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
· Hands-on, team oriented and committed to business improvement processes
· Strong problem-solving capabilities
· Technical training and presentation skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
Basic skills with MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and CAD software, Microsoft Project

Decision / Judgment:
Must be self-reliant and have good decision-making skills
Effort / Working Environment:
· Work performed in an office and factory settings.
· Willing to travel approximately (2) weeks per month.
· Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.
· Occasionally required to lift up to 20 lbs.
· Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
· 5-7 years progressive experience in Manufacturing Engineering. (Gravure Printing Preferred)
· Management experience required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
