What You'll Do:

This employment opportunity with Lockheed Martin includes on the job mentorship by some of the brightest engineers in the defense industry who will challenge you to grow your skills in computer systems, hardware, software and networking. DevOps assistance needed to stand-up and maintain integrated software environments used to develop, integrate, test and deploy mission critical military systems in a lab setting. The successful candidate will be working under direction of a lead engineer to advance development environments that enable Anti-Submarine Warfare systems vital to our nation's defense. Successful applicants will join a team that currently develops, delivers, and operates fully integrated solutions for military users across the globe. Candidates that have a strong desire to engage, and understand the fundamentals of engineering are highly encouraged to apply.

Liverpool is a village just outside of Syracuse, NY on Onondaga Lake in what is called the Central New York region. Syracuse is the major hub in the region, and has everything you would expect from a small city with a strong college influence. New York City and Philadelphia, PA are each about a 4 hour ride away, Rochester is just over an hour and ¼ to the west, and The Finger Lakes region with its beautiful scenery and wineries are just off to the west. Beautiful Lake Ontario and hundreds of other lakes are nearby and the Adirondack Mountains are just two hours to the northeast. Basic Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn a variety of new skills & tools

• Excels in both team & individual work

• Good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• Programming using C++/C, JAVA, Python Language

• Good Math Aptitude, Object Oriented Programming

• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

• C++/JAVA experience (scripting, development, shells, python, etc.)

• Experience with software installation and testing

• High School course work or lab experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: design, software, robotics or other competition teams related to engineering projects.
