Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Implement computationally intensive imaging algorithms on the latest available HPC platforms, redesigning the software architecture as hardware trends evolve and we move to higher-fidelity methods
Profile imaging codes to find and eliminate current performance bottlenecks
Evaluate and help make decisions on hardware choices
Work with cloud vendors to ensure available node shapes are tuned for our applications
Work with other members of the R&D team to develop new algorithms in seismic imaging, inversion and model building, adapt recent innovations from computing technology, applied mathematics
Requirements
Proven experience programming for high performance computing environments using C++ and CUDA, including parallel computing, performance profiling and CPU/GPU optimization.
Familiarity with emerging trends in HPC architecture
MS in Computer Science/Computational Physics/Applied Math or equivalent knowledge level.
Strong background in applied mathematics/physics, especially in numerical methods and linear algebra
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
