Responsibilities: What Will I Do?
- Develop a culture of performance excellence to encourage employment growth
- Drive the Electrical department revenue through training and development of the field technicians
- Maintain operational excellence through invoice completion, inventory control, safety awareness, and accurate reporting
- Coach electricians on how to increase average ticket, closing rate and monthly truck revenue
- Provide a constant flow of product and sales training
- Promote lead generation
- Monitor recalls, perform “root-cause” analysis and identify weaknesses in job performance to coach/train team on efficiency and effectiveness
- Handle all escalated customer concerns by demonstrating 100% customer satisfaction
- Field supervision up to 70%
- Meet weekly with your team & individuals at least bi-monthly for one on one’s
- Monitor & meet the KPIs of your team and identify coaching/training needs as necessary
- Work with Electrical Division Manager to identify, establish, and carry out all training needs for the group including attendance to meetings and training opportunities
- Perform all coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions with the guidance of the Electrical Division Manager and Human Resources
- Identify recruiting needs & work with Electrical Division Manager & Abacus Recruiters to screen team members
- Be available to your team for coaching/discussion at all times, provide technical support
- Represent & enforce Abacus’ core values
Qualifications: Do I have What it Takes?
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Journeyman or Master Electrical license
- Management experience preferred
- An in-depth knowledge of Electrical systems
- Extensive knowledge in Residential local codes and industry standards
- Excellent leadership skills and team mentality to enhance team productivity and standards of work produced
- Ability to build business in the private sector, as well as the public sector
- Background with RFIs, cost estimates (plan/spec and design/build), negotiating, material take-offs, and reading blueprints required
- Ability to layout branch circuiting; to read and understand contract documents, drawings and specifications
- Have an understanding of general electrical design and engineering concepts and have an overall general knowledge of electrical material costs
- Positive energy and enthusiasm to drive sales and company growth
- Ability to prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple tasks, handle deadlines
