Why is this job needed?
Before mail arrives at your house, it is carried across cities and states, in trucks and trains. Moving this equipment requires holders (e.g., bags, sleeves, trays). Those holders have to be located in the right places at the right times. Our operation is key to achieving this task – and either repairing or removing worn or damaged holders. The Electric Pallet Jack Operator is responsible for transporting materials throughout the warehouse as well as loading/unloading trailers. The Electric Pallet Jack Operator is an integral part of the Hollingsworth team and will work closely with management and production staff to meet customer demands and daily goals.

Shift Time
2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm

Pay rate: $15.25/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate electric pallet jack
• Transport pallets and materials throughout the warehouse
• Load/unload trailers
• Utilizes safe practices in regard to powered equipment
• Meets daily production goal
• Ensures cleanliness of all assigned work areas
• Follows all safety rules
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• 1 year of electric pallet jack experience preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for entire shift
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds and push/pull 40 pounds
• Enjoys working a team environment
• Ability to follow processes
• Good verbal communication skills
• Reliable – will be on time and work scheduled shifts
• Ability to follow instruction from supervisor
• Performs other duties as assigned
