The New York Post Digital Network seeks a detail-oriented Commerce Editor with 3+ years of lifestyle or commerce editorial experience, robust reporting, writing and editing skills, and a commercial mindset.

You’ll work closely with our commerce and SEO teams to identify and optimize top-priority content across all NYP properties, including New York Post, Page Six, and Decider, on topics such as fashion, beauty, health, home, sports, tech, and finance. This role offers the opportunity to play a vital role in a collaborative, fast-paced environment for a respected national media brand. Responsibilities include:

  • Update commerce content directly with additional writing, rewriting, reporting, and imagery as needed across the New York Post Digital Network
  • Help set publication standards and establish expectations while providing constructive feedback to writers as necessary
  • Develop and execute strategies around tentpole events to drive traffic to affiliate content and increase conversion, and report results following the event
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in SEO and affiliate marketing
  • Work closely with commerce and SEO teams to identify top-priority content to maintain
  • Edit, update, and optimize content, ensuring it is accurate, up-to-date, comprehensive, expert-backed, and aligned with SEO best practices and editorial standards
  • Review and manage content updating lists and calendars across brands, identifying stories that could be updated and the best ways to do so
  • Assist the commerce team with other content maintenance tasks and projects
  • Support the editorial team when needed, especially during high-traffic shopping events

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field
  • At least 3+ years of experience in editing for SEO and affiliate marketing
  • Knowledge of AP Style Guide, CMS, HTML, content management systems, data tracking systems, SEO, SERP results, SEMRush, Google Trends, Google Search Console, and AI
  • Willingness to learn new programs should it be necessary for improving the business
  • Experience with building affiliate links and analyzing affiliate data
  • Deadline-driven mindset and strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: $31,200 – $125,000
