The Goddard School, an early childhood education center, located in Deerfield, IL is currently seeking Assistant Teachers for our afternoon shifts. General Qualifications

An Assistant teacher must meet the qualifications of Illinois and the following qualifications:

• the ability to understand and support the education program using “learning through play” philosophy;
• the ability to interact closely with children at their level;
• the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children and parents;
• the ability to comply in all respects with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare.

Educational Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities

An Assistant Teacher’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
• Engage with children in meaningful play and activities
• Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
• Respect cultural and ethnic diversity

Job Type: Monday-Friday 12:00pm-5:30pm

Experience: None required, willing to train the right person

COVID-19 Precautions: Parents, Teachers, and Children 2 + are all wearing masks in the building. All Faculty must be fully vaccinated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
