Responsibilities:

· Assisting the lead teacher in all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.

· Treating each child with dignity and respect and interacting with each child every day

· Personally greeting all families and professionally providing them with daily information

· Implementing activities which will encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotional, social, cognitive, creative and physical development

· Helping children learn to think creatively, to solve problems independently, to self-regulate their behavior, and to respect themselves and others

· Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program

Duties:

· Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children

· Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children

· Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs

· Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development

· Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children

Qualifications:

· Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required

· Previous experience working in a childcare facility

· Candidates with either CDA or a ECE Degree preferred

· Warm, caring and fun personality

Full-time position

Compensation: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour, based on education and experience
