Drafter Job at Eastern Research Group, Inc.
ERG is seeking an experienced drafter or Computer Aided Design (CAD) technician with minimum of 3 years of experience to provide full-time immediate on-site drafting and technical support for a federal agency client located at Indian Head, MD. Roles and Responsibilities:
Work with engineers, technicians, and construction project managers to provide drafting support for commercial facilities related to renovation, maintenance, and operations, and/or office space planning.
Process in-house drawing requests to support federal site facility related projects.
Develop drawings to be submitted as part of contract bid deliverable packages.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree a plus. Prefer degrees in a related discipline such as Engineering or Engineering Technology. Minimum 3.0 GPA.
3 to 10 years of experience in creating technical drawings and working with engineering teams.
Strong team player and motivator with ability to foster cooperation.
Previous experience supporting facility operations and maintenance.
Required experience with very strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
Experience with Solidworks and/or ProEngineer (Creo) is a plus.
Knowledgeable or having familiarity with ASME Y14.5 standard for Dimensioning and Tolerancing and ASME Y14.100 standard for Engineering Drawing Practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
This work requires a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Candidates must be able to obtain this clearance; active security clearance a plus.
