Position Summary:
Responsible for managing all aspects of a high volume 24/7 distribution facility and manufacturing/assembly operation for home building products.This Distribution Facility will support and distribute products from the PrimeSource Brands SBU’s including Wolf Home Products, PrimeSource Building Products, and Hardware Resource Cabinets.
This leader manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, for overall distribution and manufacturing operations, including order fulfillment, production scheduling, warehousing, and inventory management. Communicates and monitors operations metrics and sets performance targets at the team/individual level for all distribution and manufacturing related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Plan and formulate the yearly business unit budget(s), establishing effective goals, participating in the hiring process, conducting employee meetings, coaching, mentoring, and disciplining employees and conducting performance evaluations. Interact with internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership as necessary. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, or other governmental regulations. Perform additional duties as determined by direct and matrix leaders.
Essential Job Functions:
· Direct all departmental related activities to ensure the timely execution of the schedule to meet production and service goals. Ensure a high level of customer service while meeting inventory management goals, including raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
· Ensure a safe and orderly working environment and maintain compliance to meet/exceed all site and regulatory requirements.
· Manage all quality related activities to ensure a high level of customer service in both distributed and manufactured/assembled products. Ensure compliance to Core Values and use the Quality System, including ISO procedures, corrective and preventative actions, the customer complaint policy, and best practices to achieve continuous process improvements and ensure total customer satisfaction
· This Leader is responsible to ensure an environment that values on time and in full service, understanding the customers’ needs and desired outcomes, and anticipating (and planning for) challenges that affect the team's ability and timing to achieve those outcomes.
· Deliver cost and performance targets; complete projects & assignments on-time, and according to plan. Develop and execute a capital plan for the department and associated business units.
· Manage all departmental maintenance activities; maintain equipment in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
· Have a track record of successful continuous improvement initiatives and results, with a focus upon lean manufacturing and 5S. Identify, recommend, and execute continuous improvement initiatives in the production operation including process, machinery, method and material changes, in support of site goals. Develop and streamline procedures for coordination with business unit functions.
· Create and implement improvement plans for the overall operation. Lead and support Kaizen events to drive focused improvements while championing the use/standardization of SOP’s.
· Develop departmental personnel by setting goals, providing coaching, assessing performance, counseling, & training, while supporting continuous improvement.
· Manage all employee related issues within the department. Effectively manage departmental staffing requirements in accordance with budgetary and contractual requirements.
· Communicate goals and objectives, apply company policy, coach, administer discipline, and ensure positive employee relations. Build bench strength through active development of direct reports.
· Support and provide training to improve capability of site team members.
· Schedule and track standard preventive manufacturing measures and prioritizes plant maintenance opportunities.
· Actively develop partnership and connection with the company and business unit leadership, as well as actively engage with the commercial teams engaged in the business supported by the facility.
· Experience coaching and leading cross-functional teams, including team building, understanding motivation and negotiation techniques and providing work direction to others.
· Well organized, high energy, data driven, and results oriented.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
