Dispute Specialist Job at HSN
The Opportunity
Reporting to a Fraud Supervisor, the Dispute Specialist I works in a team environment and is responsible for taking appropriate actions to avoid losses to HSN by researching and analyzing specific incoming Credit Card Disputes.

Your Impact
- Research & resolve disputes in all bank associations (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, PayPal and HSN Branded Card).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions and interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, customers and vendors.
- Ability to function in a production-based environment using various PC applications for work case management, analyze details, adjust to change and tolerate routine.
- Process incoming calls and communicate with customers and banks through verbal and written communications.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Reg E, Reg Z, MasterCard/Visa rules and regulations to analyze and diagnose complex charge back reason or possible compliance for accurate processing from a list of reason codes.
- Assist HSN with the mitigation of losses via rebills, recovered merchandise and identifying cardholder trends while recommending solutions for streamlining workflow processes to increase efficiencies and reduce liability for HSN.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned by management
What you Bring
- High school Diploma or equivalent required; preferably with a focus on college-level business classes.
- Demonstrated excellent written communication skills ie: experience with creating correspondence or other customer contact letters
- Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills ie, effective and positive customer contact calls
- Excellent time management skills, ability to work well under pressure and to prioritize in a deadline driven environment
- Must be flexible to cross train in all credit card association disputes as well as other credit areas of operations
- Able to effectively handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and basic knowledge/experience using Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
