Dispatcher Job at Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture
The Dispatcher is primarily responsible for interacting with Delivery Driver teams and customers to resolve Driver related situations and provide solutions to issues in a fast-paced environment while implementing great customer service.
What You Will Do
- Handle dispatch support for Dania Furniture | Scandinavian Designs Delivery teams by:
- Receive dispatch information and determine the appropriate response needed to effectively handle emergencies, accidents, breakdowns and other reasons that may cause customer service issues
- Build a relationship with the delivery team, Transportation team, and our customers.
- Develop and create efficient, cost- effective trucking routes to meet customer demands while matching available vehicles with load and distance requirements and provide trucks with information about orders, traffic, weather, obstacles, and requirements.
- Must be able to maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information with strict attention to detail.

- Other duties as assigned while working 4, 10-hour shifts. Three days off! Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.
Who You Are
- Has at least 2 years of Dispatching or Customer Service
- Loves a fast-paced environment
- Skilled at communication (speaking and writing)
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to use multiple platforms across different screens
- Problem solving with quick resolution to issues
- Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent GED, 2 years’ work experience in a related field for customer service, administration, transportation, or warehouse administration preferred.
