Position Profile
The Washington State House of Representatives is seeking dependable candidates for a
temporary dishwasher position for the House Member Cafeteria.

How You’ll Be Expected to Contribute

• Cleans and maintains sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and work environment.
• Helps stock delivered food and non-food items.
• Empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown of boxes.
• Deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment as directed by supervisor.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all House members and coworkers.
• Assist cooks and servers as needed, especially during peak times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Successful Candidate will Meet These Qualifications

• Knowledge of kitchen and dining room operations; good personal hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping practices; operation of standard kitchen appliancesand equipment.
• Ability to work as a team member and take direction, as well as the ability to adapt to change as required.
• Ability to learn routines and follow written and oral instructions.
• Possession of a Food Workers Card from the Thurston County Department of Health or other county public health department before the first day of work.
