The Director of Talent Strategy is responsible for overall talent acquisition strategy and employment branding functions for Populus Financial Group. The qualified candidate will have over fifteen years of experience in Talent Acquisition, over five years of experience leading a Talent Acquisition function, and over three years of experience with high-volume, high-turnover recruiting in a multi-unit environment. Responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and long-term vision of the team, building and improving operational recruitment processes, and the development of the employment brand and talent pipelines to attract and select top talent for the organization are a few of the most important aspects of this role. This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy, including employer branding, for both corporate and field teams
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and career development to the talent acquisition team with the focus of being consultative and strategic to the business, while raising the bar for performance and ensuring a world-class candidate experience
  • Ensure continuity and consistency for the candidate acquisition strategy, company culture, and recruiting best-practices
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships to guide and influence field teams and senior management on strategic Talent Acquisition challenges across multiple functions in a primarily high-volume, high-turnover, multi-unit environment
  • Lead the Indeed Sponsorship Campaign prioritization process timely and within budget
  • Lead the development of talent pipelines and programs to ensure the growth of talent pools to support the needs of the business
  • Lead the recruitment technology platform strategy and ensure full optimization, utilization, enhancements and continuous improvement of Recruiting Gateway and other recruitment tools
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor written Recruitment processes and procedures, ensuring effective and efficient Recruitment operations
  • Develop, implement and/or enhance day-to-day recruiting operations and programs
  • Develop and/or enhance monthly/quarterly recruiting metrics (qualitative and quantitative) in collaboration with the leadership team; drive the narrative of our recruiting status with data
  • Oversee the Employee Referral Bonus Program, ensuring proper administration and routine marketing
  • Leverage other recruiting technologies and tools to connect with a broad and diverse talent network while driving a strong employment brand
  • Maintain Employer Branding career sites such as Glassdoor and Indeed; ensure current employer branded content and establish a protocol to respond to every employee/candidate review
  • Lead the Voice of the Employee strategy, including the monthly exit survey reporting process and any pulse engagement surveys, from the preparation to launch of surveys, through the analysis and communication of results, to developing/implementing/monitoring tactics in partnership with leadership
  • Lead the Social Media Recruitment strategy in partnership with the marketing team in support of our employment branding initiatives, establishing the organization as a premium employer of choice in the marketplace
  • Participate in company training initiatives that support interviewing and hiring best practices
  • Serve as the key relationship manager of external third-party vendors to ensure current and future investments are optimized
  • Leverage succession and talent planning initiatives and integrates internal and external search activity to align with the succession plans and talent/competency gaps

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent, required
  • 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition required
  • 5+ years of experience leading a Talent Acquisition function required
  • 3+ years of experience overseeing recruitment functions for a multi-unit, high volume, high turnover environment
  • Experience developing and implementing or overseeing an Employer Branding strategy
  • Experience driving change efforts required
  • Vendor Management experience including contract negotiations, required
  • Experience with 3rd party applicant tracking software and HRIS systems required; implementation and management of ATS systems preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • SHRM SCP Certification preferred
  • Occasional travel required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position might require long hours and weekend work.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
