Major Responsibilities:
The Advanced Analytics team is focused on bringing insight and recommendations to the enterprise by using research, competitive intelligence, data science, and deep analytics backed by financial evaluation. We provide deliverables in marketing demand planning, sales growth support, existing customer upsell/cross-sell management and retention analytics for future and existing customer journeys. To deliver on our mission we frequently partner with other departments including Strategy, Finance, Pricing, and IT departments in development of plans, forecasting and initiative implementation.
The Sales Advanced Analytics group serves as ADT’s analytical authority focused on growth strategy for our Consumer and Small Business division. This fast-paced and agile team works closely with ADT’s Sales leadership to conduct high impact analyses and enables transformative data driven growth for ADT.
The Director, Sales Insights and Analytics will support the Sales Strategy and Operations organization and Sales business units to fulfill the growth agenda, and other leaders across the Revenue Growth and Finance organizations. He/she will be charged with uncovering customer insights and innovative growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and a deep working knowledge of various analytical and statistical tools for evaluating trends and measuring performance against qualitative and quantitative objectives. This role will interface regularly with ADT’s senior sales leaders to provide updates on key analytical workstreams and synthesizing analytical output into strategic narratives.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leads analytics efforts in support of growth and operational excellence to deliver the company’s top priorities
- Interpret and translate analytical findings into coherent business strategy working with the Sales and Corporate strategy teams
- Evaluate existing processes and insert smart decisioning methodology to maximize performance
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations to illustrate key data insights
- Share innovative framing of pros-n-cons in the development of strategies and frames solutions to inevitable risk mitigation where needed
- Provide input to the yearly planning processes on Growth levers and their sizing
- Understand the unsaid needs of senior business leaders to get ahead in structuring analysis
- Provide thought partnership to other business leaders and act as a trusted consultant
Leadership
- Demonstrates and delivers creative and effective thought leadership in marketing demand planning.
- Leads functional team by providing clarity of vision and expectations; role modeling effective coaching and performance feedback, prioritizing resources and facilitating alignment of the team.
- Develops and executes a strong talent management plan including talent assessment, selection, empowerment, coaching, upskilling, and training, motivation, and retention of top talent; builds and develops succession plans and pipeline of talent.
- Cultivates employee engagement and positive employee relations environment through inspiring leadership, robust and regular employee communications, reward and recognition culture, and focused employee development.
- Employs a diverse and creative communications framework to align employees and generate understanding and commitment to achieving the business plan.
Management
- Partners effectively across business channels (Residential and Small Business) and functions (Marketing, Sales, CX, IT, Operations) to ensure effective delivery of insights and recommendations.
- Effectively solves problems or issues related to state of the market and segment demand challenges.
- Ensures compliance and the highest ethical standards in all processes.
- Creates the vision and fosters a culture of accountability for implementing actions that support growth customer service excellence.
- Drives initiatives that are prioritized and in alignment with ADT marketing and corporate strategies
Requirements:
Education
- 4-year college degree in business administration, analytics, or economics or other related field of discipline or equivalent experience. MBA with several years of applied work experience ideal.
- Demonstrated academic excellence and prior history of professional success
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of managing and leading teams, with 5 years or more in strategy and analytics, preferably within subscriber-based business models.
- Assessing, coaching, and developing talent and managing multi-disciplinary organizations.
- Establishing business direction and executing strategy development and implementation.
- Influencing business decisions in a highly matrixed organization.
- Prior experience overseeing a data and analytics team is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Strategic thinking and the ability to stitch various sources of information together to create compelling insight.
- Strong oral and written communication skills at the Executive Leadership level.
- Proficiency in use of standard Microsoft Office production suite (excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Hands-on knowledge problem solving approach.
- Business & financial proficiency.
- Self-serve capability for data is preferred.
- Knowledge and familiarity with data science and cloud-based analytics are a plus.
Compensation:
The pay range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000 annually plus a generous yearly bonus, equity and is based on experience and qualifications.
