Director of Sponsorship
The Director of Sponsorship will administer the initial Facet TV programs for sponsorship and advertising opportunities on Facet TV shows, and for marketing campaigns for Facet TV content. Under the direction of the EIC, the director will (a) assist in defining and developing in-house procedures for trade-outs, product placement, advertising sales generation, and for sponsorship administration; (b) defining, creating and administering branding and marketing campaigns for Facet TV and various Facet TV content; (c) ensure that advertising and sponsorship spots are to agreed specifications; (d) will administer advertising video, banner and affiliate programs; (e) will identify effective and budget-friendly marketing opportunities; (d) conduct and administer outside sales of Facet TV advertising opportunities; (e) Design, arrange and possibly produce cast and crew appearances and placements; (f) Will initiate and close sales; (g) Will be the first POC for advertisers and sponsors on Facet TV.
Initially, this is a junior equity/commission position. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work into an executive position as the function contributes to Facet TV's overall profitability and profile.
- Successful outside face-to-face and/or phone sales experience of some kind.
- Experience with cold-calling.
- Ability to write sales scripts, and to follow sales scripts.
- Can put together sensible, focused proposals for clients and Facet TV.
- Good presenter.
- Good understanding of the language and concepts used in social media and digital marketing and SEO.
- Basic understanding of traditional advertising, television advertising, and early television-style show sponsorships.
- A general understanding of mobile commerce and mobile marketing.
- Excellent business writing skills.
- Ability to write terrific, focused promotional copy.
- Working familiarity with Office Suite, Excel and Photoshop.
- Capable and careful researcher.
- Will execute NDA and Confidentiality agreements with Facet TV and our sponsore and our content providers from time to time.
- Not required but a bonus if you have background in at any of: video production, acting, public speaking, narrative wrirting, production coordinating or management, graphic design.
