Job Summary:
Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of Public Projects for our Warrendale, PA office. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to Urban s multidiscipline R&T staff; maintain, cultivate, and grow client relationships within the overall industry; as well as overs and lead major pursuits, projects, and programs through phases of planning, design, construction, and project delivery.
Job Responsibilities:

• Development of a comprehensive strategy for the development and expansion of a Public Projects practice area with Class I and Class III Railroad Clients.
• Business Development activities with Class I and Class III Railroad Clients in the pursuit of Public Projects, Grade Crossing Programs, and Quiet Zones.
• Project Performance
• Staffing and resource management for execution of Public Projects.
• Travel as needed to support Public Projects and Business Development Activities including Conferences
• Additional Responsibilities:
• PM/CM assistance on Freight Rail Projects
• Billability of > 50% after 09/01/22.
• Conference Attendance: AREMA 2022 (Denver 08/28/22 to 08/31/22)

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil or Structural Engineering is required. Master of Science (MS) in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or the ability to readily obtain a P.E. license is preferred.
• 10 years of Public Management with Railroad Clients experience is preferred.
• Proficient communication, interpersonal, and management skills are required
• Ability to travel to support CM/CI efforts is required
