Director of Programs and Operations

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate Director of Program Operations to oversee the North Bay programs and operations and provide leadership/management. The director’s responsibilities include developing and implementing policies, quality assurance and compliance, and stakeholder and community partnerships. Must be able to multitask, be strategically focused, be an exceptional leader leading by example and readily adapt to crisis.
What you’ll do
- Development of new programs responding to identified client and organizational needs.
- Negotiate program Purchase of Services rates with North Bay Regional Center.
- Interviewing, hiring, training, supervision and performance evaluation· of program managers and assistants.
- Manage and monitor program quality assurance budgets and strategy.
- Support in the implementation/training of Person-Centered Thinking (PCT) principles throughout the organization w/ the Associate Director of Quality Assurance.
- Develop Lifehouse program funding capacities through program proposals/grant writing.
- Develop and implement program policies and procedures. Ensures that programs conform to legal requirements and licensing regulations.
- Develop, facilitates and oversees the Orientation and Education program for clients and family members.
- Pursue affordable housing options for Lifehouse clients.
Who you are
- Experienced – At least 5 years progressively responsible experience in the management of human services and supervision including program development and budget planning and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Education - MA in Nonprofit, Public Health/Administration, Social Work or related field preferred.
- Understanding of cultural issues, community resources and family dynamics
- Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural professional and experiential backgrounds.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multidisciplinary team.
