JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Director – Off Premise
Reports To: Senior Director - Operations Support & Off Premise
Office Location: Denver (Required to work out of the Denver Support Center)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Must have experience with managing takeout and delivery services for national brand
The Director of Takeout, Delivery for STK Steakhouse and Kona Grill is responsible for the strategy, implementation, and sales growth of all off premise channels. This position is also responsible for budgets, forecasting and ensuring the team meets sales metrics and the long-term strategy for the events business. We believe the best candidate for this position is a person who obsesses over creating an outstanding Guest Experience for all off premise transactions. The ideal candidate will have a customer-centric and collaborative mentality, strong appetite to learn, willing to go the extra mile and break down barriers to ensure guest & business success.
Position Scope:
An excellent Director of Off Premise must be an organized, dependable, and results-driven professional. They must have experience with managing takeout and delivery services for national brand. They require a practical mind to solve problems on the spot, partnered with an ability to see the “big picture” and make improvements. As a Director of Off Premise, you must also exhibit the ability to create and drive a strategy to fruition.
Responsibilities:
- Develop off premise strategy for all channels of business
- Coordinate, supervise and grow the STK Steakhouse and Kona Grill takeout, delivery, and catering business
- Develop new business opportunities and facilitate return business to achieve revenue goals
- Forecast business volume to determine resource needs, expenses, and productivity
- Use innovative sales techniques to build a strong client base including commercial business firms, associations, and hotels
- Achieve sales goals and revenue targets through successful operation and excellent execution of events
- Foster a strong relationship with cross functional departments
- Supervise daily tasks of cross functional teams & vendors
- Adhere to established safety and sanitation standards
- Accurate and timely menu management and development
- Frequent audits of restaurants to ensure TOG standards are in place
- Track guest satisfaction/recovery process
- Enhance overall experience of the off premise program
- Communicate weekly with operations teams
- Report out accurate and timely metrics to field and senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or similar field preferred
- 5+ years of relevant off premise experience in the restaurant industry
- Prior experience with 3rd party delivery platforms
- Prior experience with restaurant catering
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure, especially during peak hours or intense situations
- Innovative & critical thinker
- Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools
- Ability to lead teams through change
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strategic and creative mindset
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Solid understanding of reporting and budgeting procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
