Director, National Accounts Product Strategy (Product Management Dir Sr)

Location: Aligned to an Elevance Health office, but eligible to work remotely.

We are searching for a National Account Product Strategy Director responsible for leading the development and implementation of complex product strategies to complement current product teams. This position will promote Anthem National Accounts (ANA) voice of the customer and work closely with Anthem National Accounts leadership to understand the needs of our clients to accelerate growth and retention.

How you will make an impact:

  • Developing competitive strategy across products and segments and serve as the point of strategic accountability for ANA Product.

  • Develops, implements and maintains competitive product platform.

  • Partners with product managers to achieve superior execution of product strategy in the marketplace.

  • Tracks individual product performance by benefit design, market segment and sub region.

  • Supports the development of short and long term strategic product plans in support of market, sales and profitability objectives.

  • Presenting ANA solution strategy, either across all products or for a specific solution family, at client or consultant meetings.

  • Identifies system needs to support short and long term product strategy.

  • Providing and communicating insights to ANA from the Products and Segments organization.

  • Leading efforts/managing project teams in the implementation of complex initiatives.

  • Contributing to our RFP response.

  • Creating ANA responses to competitor activity in the segment.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Experience and knowledge of National/Large accounts in healthcare highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas: National account sales or account management, Product Development, Product Strategy, Market Strategy, Market Research is highly preferred.

  • Sales or product marketing experience for commercial segments in health insurance strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of market trends and developments in National Accounts and large employer space preferred.

  • Strong understanding of cost levers, including network and plan design strategies preferred.

  • Knowledge of commercial customers and customer needs in the segments preferred.

  • Strong understanding of market-leading practices, competitive intelligence, and cutting-edge innovation in the market preferred.

  • Experience in building strong internal and external relationships with key teams/stakeholders preferred.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties.

  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office products, most notably Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Word.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $119,360 to $214,848
