The Director, IT NA Region leads the IT function that partners with the NA Business Region of Ingredion Incorporated which includes business systems’ support, prioritization, and digital use cases. She/he will lead the effort to plan, develop, and maintain IT solutions to meet the current business requirements as well as identify new solutions to help to support the overall NA Business strategy for growth, operations excellence, and digital transformation.
This position will also work closely with our Global Business Applications Managed Services (AMS) team and with our lead business relationship management (BRM) team to prioritize NA region applications enhancements to fill contracted hours.
As a part of the Global IT leadership team, this position will work closely with the Chief Digital and Information Officer and other IT leaders to establish and implement IT’s FIT 4.0 Digital strategy and align with the overall Corporate and Regional Business objectives. She/he will identify and lead efforts to leverage IT skills and capabilities globally while providing superior support on a local and regional basis.
Responsible to ensure that applicable Global standards for processes, policies and solutions are implemented, supported, and adhered to at the regional level.
This position reports directly to the Chief Digital and Information Officer and has 1 - 3 Direct Reports and have 3 - 5 Indirect Reports (dotted line) to our lead BRMs who will support the NA Region in our ‘Corporate plus’ model.
Key Deliverables
Organizational Leadership
Business Interface
Establish and manage relationship with the business community to understand the changing and evolving business requirements and translate them into system solutions. Work with Region business management to identify and establish priorities for technology investments. Provide periodic updates to the Regional Leadership team to ensure alignment.
Day-to-Day Operations
Ensure that technology standards and operating model are implemented and maintained in order to achieve Service Level Agreements (SLA) and deliver cost effective systems that meet business needs and contributes to business value. Responsible for the creation, administration and supervision of project schedules, short and long-term budgets, resource allocations, and all other activity associated with the day-to-day activity of IT support for the NA business.
Project Initiation
Prepare project initiation deliverables including feasibility studies, risk assessments, project initiation reports, staffing requirements, funding requirements, project management standards and project management control procedures resulting in detailed project charters and project authorization requests for projects of all complexity levels.
Global Leadership Role
Works with the CDIO to develop, implement, and monitor strategy, policy, standards, and procedures to ensure IT alignment with the business and efficient and effective operations. In this role, she/he will lead the Global Business Applications Managed Services organization and team to deliver against SLA’s and drive applications enhancements. Finally, this position will team with the NA region’s Digital Community of Expertise (CoE) Team Lead as the Digital Success Lead to drive digital transformation in the Region.

Team with our Global Information Security team to ensure system and information integrity, availability, reliability, confidentiality and legal/regulatory compliance are in line with Corporate IT security policies. Ensures the organization's information technology complies with all applicable federal, state, and local information privacy and related laws and regulations. Sets, monitors and enforces security elements within application, infrastructure, and data architectures and development methodologies.
Relationships and People
Management of Staff
Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring and support to staff members to ensure that all assigned activities are conducted effectively, expeditiously and in a manner consistent with the organizations policies and goals, as well as the planned career progression of those staff members. Reviews and evaluates work of staff, establishes and monitors progress towards personal development goals and business objectives, and prepares and delivers individual performance reviews.
Qualified candidates will have:
  • Minimum of 5 -10 years’ experience leading technology teams required. This experience should include experience working with global US teams and outsourced partners.
  • Previous experience developing and tracking department and project budgets.
  • Prior experience directing IT infrastructure, business application implementation, and digital projects in a global US based company.
  • Prior experience developing and managing change associated with long-term IT strategy.
  • A Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study with a Secondary Degree preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English required.
  • Strong multitasking, time management and organizational abilities required.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated leader.
  • Previous experience leading effectively across regions and cultures.
  • Strong project management, organizational and time management skills and ability to accomplish results (deliver enabling IT capabilities on-budget and on-time).
  • Experience with transforming an IT organization / function.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability of energizing and motivating people, leading to lasting culture change.
  • Knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP Preferred) and API integration platforms.
  • Track record of successful implementations that deliver value to the business, resulting in measurable business outcomes, while demonstrating business acumen and the ability to express process improvement work in terms of business value
  • Ability to translate business goals and metrics into business process outcomes and related business cases for the overall enterprise, as well as for specific projects
  • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, partner, and align with a variety of senior-level business leaders across the Region.
  • Advanced understanding of business process optimization and delivery of systems and capabilities to enable these processes.
  • Deep understanding of the importance of data and data visibility to drive towards a data driven organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to translate and communicate technical data and concepts to non-technical management.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
