Overview Of Position
The Director of Information technology will own and deliver Medifast Cloud, Network, Telecommunication transformation strategy, that is secure, modern, scalable, reliable. You will help shape and optimize cloud, network and telecom services for scalable operations around the world. This position is responsible for supporting multiple global in-house, in-bound/out-bound call centers in three countries as well as an outsourced call center in four countries, cloud infrastructure (Vmware, AWS, Datacenters). This position combines highly technical network, telecom, infrastructure transformation knowledge/vision for manufacturing organization with significant business acumen and proven people and engineering leadership skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and drive multi cloud, network and telecom transformation strategies and roadmaps from analysis of current state, business drivers, target state and engineering opportunities.
- Ensure multi-cloud infrastructure and network architecture is secure, modern, scalable, economical, and reliable and right sized for all locations/functions/business units.
- Mange configurations, systems integrations of SaaS services and cloud infrastructure and foster GitOps practices and culture
- Oversees the telecommunication installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes all telephony systems and services, voicemail and PBX/VOIP/Cloud communication systems, and video conferencing environments and analyzes and oversees the resolution of telecommunications issues in a timely and accurate fashion, supporting user needs where required.
- Provides all sustainment functions to maintain the existing telecommunications and multi-cloud infrastructure including production deployments, break/fix, emergency services, engineering support, performance and availability monitoring, capacity and reliability analysis, provisioning.
- Work collaboratively across IT teams to ensure telecommunications security, cloud services, software version control and binary repositories, IaC libraries are well managed, assuring that all systems and configurations are compliant with relevant policies and standards
- Partner with the Information Security (IS) team on the implementation of preventive/corrective measures based on the threat landscape around networking and cloud infrastructure.
- Act as liaison to the IS team about all cloud, infrastructure, network security status, policies, and procedures. Support IS in external, internal corporate or divisional audits providing consultancy, knowledge and corrective action plans as required.
- Evaluate and provide input to leadership on new cloud, network & security technologies to enhance capabilities of the IT engineering operations
- Designs, builds, tests, and implements new and leading-edge technologies and capabilities to meet business requirements. Prioritizes telecommunications initiatives and coordinates the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies. Develops and maintains key components of a rolling two-year plan
- Partner with Digital team to oversee Contact Center and Salesforce integrations, Ring Central platform, to ensure agent productivity and efficiency for voice and digital engagement
- Designs, implements, manages, and administrates entire telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software, call management systems, voicemail, interactive voice response, workforce management, Quality Management, Speech Analytics, Dashboards, Reporting, Gamification, Digital Engagement (chat, email, SMS and social), CSAT call survey’s, video conferencing systems, auto conferencing, webinars, and voice recording system(s)
- Manages vendor relationships (collaborating as needed with other stakeholders) to maximize value from strategic partnerships and to efficiently deliver service in non-strategic areas
- Lead cross-functional and diverse engineering team
- Develops annual capital and operating budgets for telecommunications and cloud infrastructure investments and operational objectives
- Develops, tracks and controls portions of the Information Technology annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations
Scope
The Director, Information Technology will manage a team as well as a budget of between 5-7MM. They will need to be able to oversee cloud technology such as AVW, VMWare, and Azure in additional to 7 facilities under network/infrastructure. This position will also utilize 13 integrated Saas applications, multi-cloud workloads, full to semi IaC practices and mature DevOps tooling-cloudnative.
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of computer science/Engineering or 12+ years of equivalent work experience
- Broad and deep technology knowledge across multiple technologies domains and platforms supporting SD WAN - Software Defined Network, Infrastructure as Code, Active Directory Services, Secrets and credentials management, Network Security, Cloud Technologies, DevSecOps practices, Data Center Technologies, Infrastructure/Platform Security, End user technologies, Disaster Recovery and High availability
- Expertise in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS application platform portfolio (i.e AWS, Vmware, PaloAlto, Jenkins, RingCentral, Okta, Splunk, NewRelic, Sailpoint..)
- Lead and deliver transformative technology in the contract center space in a global footprint with experience in Salesforce development and administration for Contact Centers
- Experience in Avaya, Cisco, Nice, Ring Central or other SaaS and CCaaS solutions
- Oversees the operations and support of over 650 phone lines, 1,000+ end users, 600+ call center agents
- Expertise in enterprise-grade network, telecommunication systems, familiarly with telecom laws on the local, state, federal and international levels.
- Hands-on knowledge of the installation, implementation and maintenance of telecommunications systems, video technology and voice/data equipment is a plus.
- Proven capacity to set and meet short and long-term objectives for individuals and entire departments.
- Must perform well under tight deadlines and be able to adapt to changing priorities quickly and effectively.
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Network/Telecom/Cloud/Cybersecurity Certifications is a plus
