The Digital Content Producer is responsible for creating, building, and publishing content for Team San Jose’s websites, digital platforms (including social media) and additional materials as needed. This individual will be responsible for working with VP and Director to develop the voice of Visit San Jose and Team San Jose that will be deployed across all marketing and communications platforms and as needed to aid conversion.

POSITIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and produce content across all digital outlets (social media, website, press kit and collateral) that drives engagement and leads to conversion
• Write and develop copy to accompany multi-media storytelling strategies to drive conversion
• Partner with all departments to create and drive their specific online strategies for all TSJ lines of business and for clients
• Lead digital projects from concepts and strategic development to completion as needed
• Develop and maintain joint online strategies with partner organizations including their listings on web site and social posts
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure all digital outlets meet or exceed comparable market standards
• Prepare and present digital strategies to management team members
• Analyze, evaluate, and report on website and social media campaign traffic and performance
• Develop and monitor web and social reports and analytics (i.e., sentiment, monitoring conversation, reputation analysis)
• Assist with email and social media marketing campaigns
• Manage and curate User Generated Content platform for marketing and social media use
• Maintain and update all lines of digital communications as needed to serve Team San Jose, Visit San Jose, San Jose Theaters, local businesses, and local arts agencies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing, Journalism or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years related experience in similar interactive development position
• 5 years digital content or design experience
• Experience creating and populating web content and social media strategies to aid conversion
• Strong working knowledge of social networking tools including short form stories
• Strong copywriting and editing skills with ability to adapt communication for multiple platforms and specific audiences
• Strong web master skills
• Highly creative with the ability to take direction yet work independently
• Enthusiastic, dependable, positive and collaborative team player
• Top-notch spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven track record of success producing digital content across all topics including sports, music, entertainment, or news
• Familiarity with a variety of online marketing concepts, best practices and procedures
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Ability to keep focused on long-term goals
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Destination, Travel or Tourism industry experience a plus
• Deep passion for and knowledge of San Jose
