Dietary Supervisor Job at Westminster Village North
Essential Functions
- Responsible for food purchase, production, and timely service of meals.
- Directs and supervises all dietary functions and personnel.
- Interview, hire, and orientate all new staff members.
- Provide counseling and coaching with personnel, as well as give disciplinary action(s) when appropriate.
- Schedules work hours and assignments.
- Reviews daily assignment sheets with staff members prior to the end of each shift.
- Assures that proper storage is available, and that handling of food and supplies complies with current guidelines.
- Ensures all staff members are compliant with all required in-services.
- Continued kitchen inspections to ensure the kitchens are in compliance at all times.
- Ensures continued compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Plans and assists in preparation and service of holiday and special meals and functions.
- Works with and under the Director of Food Services.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
- Participate in professional development activities to keep current with skills and administrative practices.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as directed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certified Dietary Manager Certification preferred.
- Cooking and Dietary Education preferred.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in food service is preferred.
