Job Summary:
Supports the Diagnostic Support Services Department and the organization’s mission, vision, and values by exhibiting compassion, integrity, accountability and excellence. Servesas a key member of the Diagnostic Support Services Department by collaborating with providers, colleagues, patients and family members to promote a patient-driven model of care that ensures the delivery of quality and cost-effective healthcare services.To provide strong customer service for all calls and inquiries directly coming into and related to the administrative functions of the Diagnostics department. To provide scheduling/rescheduling services, results, reports, CDs as requested by outside offices and customers. Ensuring reports are scanned, manually or electronically, for all imaging/diagnostics studies performed in the Diagnostics department of PPCP.
Job Functions:
- Burning CDs
- Calling for courier service pickup and delivery
- Operating fax/copier
- Answering phones, rescheduling and scheduling patient appointments
- Retrieving outside imaging studies as needed by the department
- Responsible for coordinating calls to and from the department
- Handling requests for faxing results
- Overall administrative functions within the Diagnostic Department
- Other duties as assigned
Education: High school diploma or GED required
Experience: Clinical experience preferred, experience in Radiology preferred
