Explain the selections design process to the client

• Educate client in the importance of schedule timeline, order of selection appointments, priority and due dates
• Explain the importance of early client communication directly with the vendor to address pricing and product questions
• Explain which kinds of questions the Designer can assist with and those reserved for other team members

Review use of BuilderTrend selections and approval process:

• Designer must understand how to read blue prints
• Designer must understand how to read selection lists, and available choices from the client's login screen
• Designer must understand how to help a client through the approval process of a selection

Basic Design Process: Designer will assist in the design process for making detailed choices related to style, finish, and color for all selections

• Designer will provide the client with vendor contact and location information.
• Designer will review and input selections in BuilderTrend to confirm the accuracy of selections.
• Designer will communicate directly with the Vendor to resolve incorrect selection quotes, photos, or details.
• Designer will contact the client to review the selections ready for approval and seek to finalize that selection by client approval.
• Designer will facilitate revisions to initial selections by reviewing these revisions with the Vendor and Project Manager before finalizing with clients.

Preparation for Projects

• Gather information, worksheets, plans, samples, photos, notes, and other tools required for selection appointments
• Perform adequate prep work and research to be ready for the Team Build meeting with the client.
• Contact vendors ahead of time to schedule client appointments and supply appropriate documents for Vendor to prepare
• Be prepared to answer questions concerning Carney Quality Construction policy with vendors.

Meetings and Communication

• Perform an initial design meeting with the client to understand the goals for the project and the client's wishes.
• Help clients stay on budget as needed.
• Schedule initial vendor meetings for the client and attend those meetings for assistance reviewing selections communication.
• Communication regarding selections is expected during selection meetings with the Project Manager.
• Before each phase of selections, the Designer will provide Carney Quality Construction with a copy of the client appointment schedule.
• After each selection appointment, the Designer will provide Carney Quality Construction with copies of the completed selection worksheets and/or notes.
• If Designer Is aware of any updated contact information for clients or vendors, this information Is to be reported to Carney Quality Construction as soon as possible.

Availability

• Designer must be available for client questions and ready to offer direction on a weekly basis during each, phase of the selections process.
• Designer will provide weekly notifications to Carney Quality Construction of work schedules, Vacations or time off, meeting attendance, and client appointments.
• Designer must provide arrangements or instruction to handle absences ahead of time, so our clients have a contact.
• Attend required in-house Pre-construction meetings and client Team Build meetings, client appointments, weekly selections review meetings, and periodic mandatory meetings for process review

This job description is subject to change. This position is to be a team player and to help in all areas, as needed. The designer/selections coordinator must be organized and detail-oriented.

Pay starting at $20/HR depending on experience.
