Daycare Center Cook Job at Forest Hill Daycare Center LLC
Job Type: Full-Time, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
No evenings or weekends or holidays!
Responsibilities include:
- As a Center Cook, you will prepare nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the children and staff in our care. We have 60 students and 12 staff during the day.
- Maintaining inventory for food and kitchen supplies to prepare nutritional meals for children
- Distributing meals to classrooms while maintaining sanitary conditions and standards
- Ensuring overall sanitation of the kitchen, storage, and meal prep areas
- Properly recording and reporting meals served
When you are not preparing food, serving meals, or cleaning, we would love for you to work in the classrooms to assist our teachers. While this is not a must, preference will be given to candidates who are willing to work in the classroom.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of food preparation experience preferred
- Time management and good communication skills, both written and oral
- Displays compassion, creativity, alertness, flexibility, patience, and consistency
- Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) experience preferred
- Ability to work within regular operating hours
- Must meet state criteria for childcare employment
- Must be able to walk up and down multiple steps, multiple times a day

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
