HJF is seeking a Data Manager II to support the Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine (CNRM), located at the Rockledge Office in Bethesda, MD. HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to CNRM.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the data management process in support of research activities within CNRM. Responsibilities include assisting with data collection aspects during research study planning, development and implementation of data collection instruments within the CNRM CASA platform, coordination of other study team member activities, management of data curation in the informatics data repository, providing technical support and site training as needed.
This position requires US Citizenship.
- Understands, develops, and executes all aspects of clinical trial Data Management (e.g. CRF design, data entry instructions, data management and QA plans, resource planning, data status tracking, ) Gathers and analyzes information from users needed for the development or modification of the data collection systems. (30%)
- Manages the setup, configuration and testing of multiple studies (10%)
- Performs user training, troubleshooting and user support (10%)
- Responsible for timely documentation, user manuals and contributes towards policies for system use. (15%)
- Assists with system QA testing and (15%)
- Serves as the Core liaison for data requests from the CNRM Data Repository to include the organization of the CNRM Data Access Committee and the request review and approval processes and responsible for curation of data within the informatics repository. (20%)
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in the understanding, development, and execution in all aspects of clinical trial Data Management (e.g. case report form design, data entry instructions, data management and quality assurance plans, resource planning, data status tracking, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple, highly complex and/or large studies concurrently.
- Expert interpersonal and communications skills, high attention to detail, and able to work with tight timelines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of good data management practices clinical trials, regulations and experience with databases and human subjects research.
- Assist with agreements, protocol compliance and regulatory needs.
- Reports directly to the CNRM Informatics core director.
- This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience required
