About The Role

Salary Range: $85,000- $100,000

Must be a US Citizen due to government contract requirements

Dcode is looking for a Data Engineer to help us structure, organize, and utilize our data more effectively. In this role, you will report to the Product Manager, Data Tools and work closely with our Chief Technology Officer to develop and manage Dcode’s information architecture and data governance strategy. You’ll also support new product development by building pipelines to capture and process new data sources for our products. You’ll analyze our internal data combined with publicly available federal contracting data to identify trends and recommend new ways to leverage data insights in our products.

In your first month, you’ll:

• familiarize yourself with Dcode’s data, internal tools, and products
• work with your manager to develop a data architecture plan

In your second month, you’ll:

• begin implementing your data architecture plan
• define data governance SOPs to guide how we capture, store, and utilize data
• learn about our product roadmap and strategy

In your third month and beyond, you’ll:

• continue managing our data architecture and governance
• work on pipelines and functional aspects of our data products
• attend user interviews to build familiarity with how our users leverage our data
• discover and recommend new ways to leverage data to enhance our products

About You

Ideal candidates will be data engineering generalists with strong product sense. We are looking for someone who is technically competent and also thoughtful of how data can be used to enhance our products. We’d love to hear from you if you have all or most of the following qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Python fluency
• Experience with graph databases like Neo4j
• Experience integrating with APIs
• Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Desire to apply data engineering expertise to developing new products and features
• Comfortable taking initiative to plan how we achieve desired outcomes
• Nice to haves:
  • Experience with Airtable
  • Familiarity with government contracting
