is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) located in Bethesda, MD.

Overall Position Summary and Objectives
The purpose of this position is to support the work done under the Assistant Director of Science Administration. This will include collecting and organizing data for a variety of purposes, maintaining spreadsheets and databases, create reports, planning and processing travel and meetings, collecting information and preparing packages for the onboarding and renewal of personnel, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Deliverables:
  • Monitor and track ongoing activities and requirements for the Assistant Director of Science Administration in the areas of Facilities and Space, Construction and Renovation, Emergency Management, Diversity Programs, Summer Internship Program, Training and Scientific Career Development Program and communicate on a daily basis.
  • Daily Assist the Assistant Director of Science Administration with calendar, and assist with the group calendar and various meetings and deliverables.
  • Daily Place orders in the POTS system with appropriate documentation, prepare personnel packages in the PAMS system, prepare various memos and documentation, prepare Travel authorizations and Vouchers, and all other Office Manager duties as needed daily.
Work Details:
  • Collects and analyzes data for a variety of studies.
  • Collect and process information related to travel plans, personnel actions, meetings, calendars, and other administrative duties within the section 1
  • Perform data entry in support of a number of different systems and programs, both numerical and text format.
  • Organize, implement, maintain, and archive data.
  • Work with staff to gather and analyze information from users, primarily principal investigators (PIs), needed for the development or modification of CRFs and accompanying interface relating to data collection, storage and access.
  • Coordinate and perform data entry. 5
  • Perform quality checks to ensure consistency, integrity and robustness of data.
  • Organizes data to provide functional reporting.
  • Record data into a format appropriate for processing.
  • Perform routine and general data management. 2
  • Perform database searches and assemble data sets.
  • Creates and maintains a variety of reports.
  • Maintain databases for tracking and monitoring activities.
  • Manages storage and backup systems.
  • Perform data auditing for quality assurance of data entry review.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for the quality assurance of all study collection interfaces, storage and access.
  • Maintain a variety of computerized files and records. 3
  • Participates in the development and design of databases for tracking and statistical purposes that incorporate multiple data fields required by scientists.
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets related to various data sharing activities. 4
