Ionetix is a growing company, with revolutionary cyclotron technology. We are expanding to Alpha Radionuclide Manufacturing. We will have full isotope production and processing, drug manufacturing logistics for both Actinium-225 and Astatine-211.
We are seeking a Cyclotron Engineer.
In this new role, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, computer, electronic and maintenance of the cyclotron working on processes and procedures for technology transfers of new radiopharmaceuticals to the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient manufacturing for Targeted Alpha Therapy (TAT). The responsibilities of the position include:
1. Develop and promote equipment & process enhancements to improve reliability, increase output, & reduce downtime.
2. Perform manufacturing (cyclotron & chemistry module operations) and quality control processes, utilizing analytical equipment such as thin layer chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography (TLC), HPLC, GC), as required by state and federal laws.
3. Provide maintenance of the cyclotron, including its high-voltage power supplies, high vacuum system, RF systems, targetry systems, and other related equipment.
4. Provide accurate and timely record keeping of maintenance and repair work performed.
5. Implement standard operating procedures for preventative maintenance, production, & quality control.
6. Handle maintenance oversight for facility equipment service performed by vendors and third parties.
7. Ensure safety and quality metrics are achieved.
8. Lead, coordinate, and perform troubleshooting activities for cyclotrons and related equipment.
9. Monitor equipment metrics and analytical systems.
10. Assist in cost saving initiatives.
11. Drive equipment performance and recommend modifications for continuous improvements.
12. Support training to others related to site equipment.
13. Works in compliance with all regulatory standards including EH&S, cGMP, radiation safety, etc.
Ideal candidates will possess:
· Bachelor degree in chemistry, engineering, or science related field of study OR equivalent direct applicable experience
· Three (3) years of experience in cyclotron operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, & repairs
· Experience in solid state and vacuum based electronics, high power RF systems, electro-mechanical systems, and mechanical, cryogenic and/or diffusion pumps
· Excellent mechanical inclination and proficiency
· Ability to use advanced test equipment: RF spectrum, network analyzers, & leak test equipment
· Ability to perform troubleshooting with cyclotron & system components, vacuum systems, etc.
