Customer Support Representative Job at Guardian Security Systems

Guardian Security was founded in 1976 and for over 45 years we have been providing security and fire protection services to residential and commercial customers across the Northwest. We are family-owned and operated with over 160 employees. Our main office is located in stadium district of Seattle, and we have branch offices in Yakima, Tacoma and Bellingham.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

  • Answer and resolve incoming customer phone calls, voicemails, web chats and emails by consistently utilizing CRM and documenting conversations.
  • Utilizes internal chat function to monitor various communications and requests from multiple channels in real-time.
  • De-escalates, resolves, or elevates escalated customer issues.
  • Interprets and deciphers contract terms for customers.
  • Provides accurate and timely follow through on all customer inquiries or correspondence requiring research.
  • Provides support for immediate resolutions and guidance regarding account review, account updates, disputes, adjustments, system issues, online pay portal, signs/sticker requests, and alarm history review to commercial and residential customers.
  • Maintains a professional, calm, and pleasant voice image always, when communicating with customer and other employees.
  • Efficiently and accurately enters and maintains all customer account data and activity in appropriate systems.
  • Cancellations - follows process by explaining to customer, documenting Sedona, providing accurate details on account.
  • Performs or participates in special projects as determined by management.

Qualifications

A desired candidate will have the following qualifications

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience (preferred)
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Occasionally able to lift/move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and emails.
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers, potential customers, and branch personnel.
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite experience, particularly with Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal/listening skills.
  • Must possess good decision-making skills, be organized and detail oriented.
